Sura Al Sayeghiya writes her letters in

Muscat, (ONA) - In her first publication, entitled “Whiteness between Two Darknesses,” the writer Sura Al-Sayeghiya chooses the style of letters to be her statement to a late father. The dedication comes loaded with the sadness of loss as she offers it to “every lost soul, to every person who feels that he does not belong to the world, to everyone whose soul and body are exhausted by his feelings of loss. This book contains you and your painful feelings. This book understands you, and approaches what no one understands in your depth. You are here, and I wrote this book for you and for your sake". She advises all of these in a final sentence in the dedication, "Continue reading, and you have found your refuge."

The publication approaches short story style and self-messages based on a diary after the father's departure in a traffic accident. The description is based on a narrative art that presents the event, through time and space. The child who is waiting for her father to return, and not to break his promise not to leave her alone and sad in his absence, is trying to find the colours that she loves, but only one colour remains in the box, which is black. Through that blackness, in the case, and in her lifetime, that white, the whiteness of the shroud, appears. "I do not sleep, it does not come, and the colours do not come, nothing but sad whiteness between the two darknesses of night and death. A familiar voice waving in my ears to cut my memories. Someone's name calls him, yes I know him, her warm voice I know him, preparing a sweet poem for me. Calling her by my name is the most beautiful of her syllables.” The child and her mother remain ghosts lost in crowds that fill the house, but the void of his departure cannot be filled.

The story begins with a description of the psychological state of the child, who found herself without the father, who used to enter her room cuddling her while she fell asleep. He goes out to no return. Then the chapters of the book begin by listing what happened after that, starting from the last day in March as "the day of the event" and passing through several days that consist of main headings below the specific time.

She says in one of the messages: How disappointed it is that I sent you twenty-five letters, and you did not answer. How unfortunate it is that I cry all night, and more unfortunate my feeling that it never matters to you.

I put many excuses for you, including perhaps you do not have pens and papers, but nothing is impossible if you intend to respond to me.

Well, let's get out of blame, it doesn't help. Do you remember when I told you that I started writing stories?!

I have written our story entitled (Whiteness between two Darknesses). It tells my story with your absence, and the departure of the colours of our life with your departure. My father, the spectrum of your whiteness does not leave my imagination. It imbues my soul with intense fear, and strikes from my soul everything that is connected to you.

My dear, I am tired. Why don't you come back?!

In the conclusion of the book, the author places a request in front of her reader, “I hope that my letter has arrived, there is only one thing I will ask you, which is: for every letter you find a phrase, collect all the phrases, and read them together, you will also find another message for you. As soon as you finish reading them, I will put a blank page for you, write on it what you want for a lost person, as our letters filled with sincere feelings reach them, trust that."

The book is published by Luban Publishing House among its ten publications for the month of November, as it set its plan to publish ten books per month.
