The national volleyball team of The Sultanate of Oman was crowned champions of the 2nd West Asia Men's Volleyball Championship for the first time in its history after an outstanding performance, defeating Qatar 3-0 in the final held at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher. The victory marks a new chapter in the team's continental achievements and underscores the growing stature of volleyball in The Sultanate of Oman at both the regional and international levels.

The national team secured the title with a straight-sets victory over Qatar, winning 25-19, 25-15, and 25-23. The players established their technical superiority from the opening whistle, delivering a disciplined and impressive performance characterized by high concentration, effective attacking play, and strong defensive organization, backed by enthusiastic home support.

The title represents a significant milestone in the national team's journey, reflecting the results of sustained technical and administrative development in recent years. The team recently achieved its highest-ever world ranking, climbing to 69th in the FIVB World Rankings, and has now added the West Asia championship title to its growing list of achievements, further strengthening its position on the Asian volleyball stage.

In the third-place playoff, Iraq claimed the bronze medal after defeating Kuwait by three sets to one, with set scores of 21-25, 25-19, 25-23, and 25-18.

Following the final, the top three teams were honored, and the championship trophy was presented to The Sultanate of Oman national team. Individual awards were also presented as follows:

Mahmood Al Saadi (The Sultanate of Oman) – Best Outside Hitter (Position 4), Mohammed Waleed (Qatar) – Second Best Outside Hitter (Position 4), Abdullah Naseem – Best Middle Blocker (Position 3), Mahmood Wahab (Qatar) – Second Best Middle Blocker (Position 3), Mahdi Mahmood (Qatar) – Best Setter, Majid Al Shibli – Best Opposite Hitter (Position 2), Abdullah Al Maqbali – Best Libero, and Falah Al Jaradi (The Sultanate of Oman) – Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Championship.

The national team of The Sultanate of Oman received the gold medals and the championship trophy, while Qatar claimed the silver medals and Iraq secured the bronze medals.

The second edition of the championship featured the participation of seven national teams: The Sultanate of Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Lebanon.

It is worth noting that Qatar won the inaugural edition of the West Asia Men's Volleyball Championship, held in the Kingdom of Bahrain, with Bahrain finishing as runners-up and The Sultanate of Oman placing third. This year, however, the national team successfully claimed the title on home ground in front of its supporters.
