The Award aims to promote innovation and excellence across the various economic sectors in the Sultanate of Oman, while taking into account global developments and emerging technological and economic trends, particularly those associated with the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The Award fosters a competitive environment among all governorates of the Sultanate of Oman by encouraging them to define their social, economic, and environmental development priorities. It also promotes alignment between the national priorities for governorate development and sustainable cities and the Award’s evaluation framework, while contributing to a transformative shift that positions governorates and their local communities as active partners in the nation’s comprehensive development.
