Muscat, November 2 (ONA) - Writer Fawzia Al-Fahdiya sided with the place and the old stories, to present to her reader her first novel work titled “The Other Side of the Story”, to try the story on an adult level after her experiences in writing for the child.
Writer Muhammad bin Saif Al-Rahbi describes it, as it was mentioned in the last cover, as “the novel of the myth and the search for the legend of the novel.” Fawzia Al-Fahdiya eagerly follows it where the story is hidden behind the story, but she insists that there is another side to it. When we narrate them, they exchange roles with us, so that they come back to us again, as the act of narration is continuous, and behind the valley suggests a different birth that does not coincide with the narration, nor what the narrator wants while he pursues his characters, separating them according to the dimensions of the mountains and valleys, and according to the anthologies of speech on the tongues of the narrators’ generation after generation.” He described the first fictional work of Al-Fahdiya as “taking its reader with the fluency of language and beauty of description into warm spaces of reading.”
Al Fahdiya dedicates her book “to the noise of the world ... Calm down a little ... so that you know the other side of the story”, opening her path to this world through a saying which she set as a start, in which she says: “I am aware that the mind is the first source of stories”, with her certainty that we “tell stories, so the same stories return to tell us. Then the chapters of this aspect fall apart, starting from the first chapter”. “Nothing perishes,” with the “mother legend,” where the place is a safe and reassuring village, with its inhabitants, trees and stories.
The author delves into the tales of the place, and carefully reconfigures them, in a spontaneous narrative diversity, between the narrator and Uncle Saad, and the remaining characters of “The other side of the story.” In every chapter there is a main heading that resembles a saying, and below it a subtitle indicating the content. In the last chapter, for example, the title "The story is in your mind only," comes with another title, “The scarecrow of the field.”
In the conclusion of the novel, Fawzia Al-Fahdiya believes that “the story has many facets that are more mysterious than it seems, and the secrets of its roots extend to genes that drag us back to it. The memory is documented by saying: “Just as we cannot use letters without the other, we cannot exclude the stories of life and accept one of them without the other side.
It is noteworthy that the novel was issued by the Luban Publishing Establishment among three novels in which the house launched its journey, namely, “Al Sirah” by Dr. Saeed Al-Siyabi, and “Political Dissociation” by Badr Al-Kiyumi.
