Al-Jardani issues “Rebuilding Education” ... the Cultural Bulletin

Muscat, (ONA) – In cooperation with Luban for Publishing, Dr. Khaled bin Salem Al-Jardani published his book, “Rebuilding Education,” which is a book aimed at every learner, teacher, educator, guardian, researcher, and responsible for education in the public and private sectors.

The book is divided into five units: the student’s needs and preferences, the philosophical infrastructure, the physical infrastructure, the teacher’s money and what he owes, and society. In general, and as the author pointed out, the book looks at education in general “by presenting all the factors that affect education, so that it seeks what can be accomplished in order to develop educational work and improve it through the individual, family and society in addition to the effective participation of government institutions such as the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Higher Education, and institutions related to building the individual and society, as well as other sectors such as the private sector, which is supposed to actively participate in building the Omani person.

The author focuses on brief basic points in the topics he deals with, so the book comes in the form of focused points, and a lot can be said under each heading, and Al-Jardani presents them without lengthy explanations. Within the philosophy of education, he considers that “any educational society must be built on clear-cut foundations, so that every person belongs to it knows his role, by understanding his duties towards every individual in the educational system, and by obtaining all his requirements and rights. The educational community includes the student, the teacher, his assistants in schools and his assistants in each educational directorate, as well as the community surrounding the school, directorates, and the entire Omani community, which includes the public sector that was established for the sake of the individual, and the private sector that derives from the individual and the local community its own raw material including brains, establishments, stones and so on.”
