Muscat, (ONA) - The Children’s Lab of the Bait Al-Zubair Foundation will organize the day after tomorrow, Wednesday, a seminar entitled “Young People’s Literature: A Reading in Reality and Challenges”.

The symposium will host the Egyptian writer Ahmed Toson, the Omani writer Azhar Ahmed, and the Jordanian writer Taghreed Al Najjar, who are professors specializing in writing youth literature, while the seminar will be moderated by the storyteller, Ahmed Al Rashdi, a member of the Children’s Lab.

The symposium deals with several topics, including the characteristics and features of youth literature, and the challenges facing this type of literature, such as the reasons for the lack of publication for this age group, and the reason for focusing on the novel while neglecting other creative writings in the field such as notes and articles. It also deals with topics on the state of youth literature in the world and the Arab world, the most prominent experiences and the importance of encouraging expertise in publishing in the field.

It is noteworthy that this seminar comes as part of a series of seminars held by the Foundation remotely in the fields of children, arts, theatre, youth, media and others, to ensure the continuity of the cultural movement in line with the requirements of the stage.
