Muscat,(ONA) – Luban Publishing House released two new works in Arabic by two Omani women writers as part of its project to present new writings on the Omani scene, namely “Lavender of the Letters” by Bahjat Al-Ma’sabiya, and “On the Beach of Longing” by Bushra Salman.
Al-Ma’sabiya dedicated her first work to her parents and siblings, and to every aspiring, optimistic and inspiring soul, indicating that the idea of naming the book as “The Lavender of the Letters” was inspired by the lavender rose that has a good aromatic scent, and the letters are those letters that form words of hope and optimism. Every morning, after waking up from your deep sleep and while you are eating breakfast, inhale that good scent of life very deeply loaded with letters of hope and optimism, beginning her book with a quote by the late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, may God rest his soul, “The road is long and arduous, but with effort and perseverance we will reach our goal as soon as possible.”
In the articles of the first chapter entitled “Go Ahead”, the author presented a set of optimistic and motivational ideas, where she writes that “trust in God brings sustenance,” taking from the prophetic position a strong reference to a person’s request for protection from fear, and from the story of the Prophet Moses and other titles in support of concepts popular with human development methods, about willpower “You are different” and gratitude “Be a grateful slave”, referring to a group of challenges that may face you on the road to achieving success, however, there is a “struggle ladder for the successful.”
The author, Bahjat Al-Ma’sabiya, devoted the second chapter to the thoughts of “Jabr al-Khater”, which she wrote in both Arabic and English, explaining the idea that it generally targets young people, especially the aspiring ones, pushing them to develop and educate themselves.
The writer Bushra Salman dedicated her publication “On the Shore of Longing” which includes a set of thoughts to “those who inspired me, and they do not feel ... to those for whom I write, while they do not read ... to those who ignited the spark of feeling on my way, so I enjoyed my little burns that left these thoughts.”
The writer walks “on the shore of longing” with her letters that she feels that she has a lot of patience away from them. There is something that motivates her to write, a longing, a wound, some sadness, some fear, as she describes her relationship with writing. All this runs in her veins, to reveal the feelings of her soul. They are texts written in the ink of the female who is passionate about that beautiful relationship with the letters, with an elegant revelation, which toured her mind.
She writes under the title “Can I forget you ?!”,
And all the life that you planted for me is near you, with you, at you
I shed it with all my stabs
When you are cruel
You smashed it!
I do not know what my life would be like after you
I do not think it has features
I don’t know - believe me - how the days go by
And the years carve its deserts on my face
And rob me of every desire to appear myself
I reconcile with the world, and try life again!
