Muscat, August 24 (ONA) - The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth represented by the Omani Society for Fine Arts organizes an online art exhibition, under the title “Malakoot” by plastic artist Nayla Al-Maamari, on Wednesday. The exhibition which will last for one month will display its works online in a virtual hall via the Omani Society for Plastic Arts’ link on the Instagram platform (osfagovoman).
The exhibition aims to contemplate the true beauty and colour harmony in the creatures of God and nature, in a way that suggests the greatness of the Creator. The exhibition includes an impressive collection of artworks amounting to 31 plastic paintings executed with different materials and sizes that fall under the style of the abstract school.
The plastic artist, Naila Al-Maamari, affirmed that “the artist expresses the shapes, colours and events around him in his own style and technique that distinguishes one’s artistic style in embodying the idea of one’s work to be conveyed to the recipient.” Those who see the works of the artist Nayla in this exhibition will find the philosophy of beauty present in her works, as she took it upon herself to contemplate the things around her in order to draw inspiration from the beauty of the greatness of God in portraying his kingdom, so she created works of high aesthetic value that featured joyful, harmonious and symphonic colours. This is indeed what was in the mind of the artist, Nayla, for the colour expression of creatures, their colour shades, and the differences in their shapes. All this colour harmony tells the human mind that he is in front of a divine miracle that only a creator with great power can make.
This exhibition is the fourth online one held by the society, while it is considered the first online solo exhibition, considering that the previously held exhibitions were group exhibitions. In addition, it is considered the fourth solo exhibition by the artist Naila Al Maamari, as she had previously held three exhibitions in realistic galleries.
