Muscat, (ONA) - The Cultural Club continues to present its various programs, but in light of the current conditions of the corona virus pandemic (Covid 19), it saw that it would keep its activities in progress and transfer them to the virtual space to continue its cultural activities electronically through its sites on social media and electronic channels. The goal of continuing to provide remote activities is to enhance the cultural movement in the Sultanate.
The cultural activities that the club transferred to the cyberspace included lectures, seminars and meetings previously planned by the club during the cultural season 2020, in addition to workshops and some evening events and seminars.
In this regard, Dr. Aisha bint Hamad Al Darmakia, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Cultural Club, said about the experience of the cultural club in presenting its activities electronically that the experience of the cultural club during the past years in broadcasting its activities and events across the various websites and electronic channels has had a great impact in strengthening its relationship with its followers in the Sultanate and the Arab world. “This has made keeping pace with the current crisis quick and direct, as it was one of the first institutions to start electronic activities through several programs, with which the public interacted, and the number of participants, followers, and discussions increased from different groups of educated and interested people.”
She added that the club, thanks to Allah and the support of its followers, will continue its efforts in the completion of this cultural season, which was organized and approved previously. Events that started from June to December through electronic channels will be resumed in their scheduled times with the aim of establishing confidence between the club and its followers on the one hand and contributing to enriching the cultural scene on the other hand, after a busy program presented by the club via multimedia in the first half of the current cultural season.
She said, “I extend my sincere thanks to the participants in these activities, who expressed their willingness to interact and prepare in a manner commensurate with the nature of the electronic presentation and direct interaction with the audience, who used to be keen to access these events and express ideas, theses and discussions, to enrich the topics raised.”
