Muscat, June 21 (ONA) - The fans of the Royal Opera House Muscat will be today on an appointment with “The Magic Flute” on its YouTube channel. Another concert, “Sound Like Summer Flowers”, will start on July 23, 2020, marking the 250th birthday of the international musician Beethoven, performed by the China National Centre for the Performing Arts Orchestra from Beijing in cooperation with the Royal Opera House Muscat.

The Magic Flute opera is an interactive opera dedicated to children and the family. It is one of the best-known works of the world musician and one of the most important classical musicians, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, who composed 600 pieces of music and 13 operas.

It is worth noting that the Royal Opera House Muscat hosted the Magic Flute opera performance on March 23, 2016, which was performed by Teatro Sociale di Como AsLiCo from Italy, in the presence of hundreds of school students, who enjoyed the interactive performance that took them on an interesting journey into the world of opera and music. The events of the Magic Flute opera revolve around a young man who undertakes several adventures for love and freedom. The events begin with nightfall in the bedroom of the young man who pretends to read the book while waiting for the opportunity to resume his favourite video game “The Magic Flute”, in which the hero “Tamino” fights a beast to save the beautiful “Bamina”, daughter of the Queen of the Night.

The Magic Flute opera is based on good versus evil, light versus darkness, and truth versus imagination. Mozart delved into the characters, fears and desires of the heart to create a story matched by a musical piece of drama and simple events. The Royal Opera House Muscat produced its “Magic Flute Opera” to be suitable for children, and fans of this wonderful work from the public can enjoy a range of songs that the Magic Flute Opera is famous for and has become a symbol of Mozart and opera's works.
