Muscat, (ONA) - The inauguration ceremony of the International Visual Arts Forum for Small Business will be held tomorrow, under the patronage of Her Highness Sayyida Mayan bint Shihab Al Said, tomorrow evening, Tuesday, under the slogan (An Invitation to a New Artistic Challenge) organized by the Artistic and Cultural Tourism Project to commemorate the archaeological moment in art in the village of Imti in cooperation with the Arab League of Arts through live broadcasts on the project's website.
Maryam Al-Zadjaliya, a fine artist, said that the organization of this forum, which will continue until the eighteenth of November, comes to celebrate the occasion of the fiftieth National Day and based on the meanings of the artistic partnership that brings us together always to implement visions and ideas framed by creative content according to Arab and international concepts, inspired by the depth of the ancient heritage connotations of the village of Imti, which has a deep historical dimension that derives from the pioneering march of the Sultanate of Oman.
She added that reducing the historical heritage moment to a specific visual reality may not give the artist a creative space in which he is manifested by the magic of his imagination and the magnitude of his ideas. Therefore, the artistic secrets of Imti village need to be explored and contemplated in order to transcend in their cultural dimensions the realism of geographical boundaries and the classics of temporal archiving. Believing in the artist's glow and intellectual brilliance, Imti constitutes for him a human condition that is broader than the emotional presence, and deeper than the awareness inherent in seeing, touching and knowing. That is why the vision achieved by the artist as a lover, a narrator, or a researcher in the treasures of Imti, is a system of challenges that he penetrates with his imagination and beauty, overcoming the physical reality and the traditional concept, to give us shapes and colours that express the genuineness of and what is beyond Imti.
The artist, Maryam, noted that participation in this forum over a period of eighteen days will be limited to small businesses and for members of the association in particular, as the idea of the painting should be inspired by the features of the village of Imti. It is permitted to participate with one work only in one of the fields, including drawing, photography, sculpture, Arabic calligraphy, and lettering, and the size of the work must not exceed 30 x 30 cm. An artist can use the materials at his disposal to make his work.
In addition, the participating artists have complete freedom to document the stages of their work according to video technology. The videos will be displayed on the project and the association account, where the participating artists must send a high-quality image of the completed work accompanied by the personal data, the title of the work and the material via the official website of the project before the date of November 18, 2020. The visual exhibition of the completed works will be launched on the official website of the project on November 30, 2020.
Al-Zadjaliya addressed her fellow artists, saying: Your eagerness and the beauty of your creativity that touched the taste of the lovers of your artistic productions is what framed our desire to establish this international plastic artist, with our certainty that what you will translate from ideas and vision full of your fertile artistic imagination will find great interest by all segments of our societies, taking into consideration that the artist is a leader in society who sees life with advanced formulas and methods.
