The Competitions Committee of the Oman Football Association (OFA) has selected 52 referees and 25 referee evaluators who will supervise the management and control of the matches through the tests held at the Nizwa Sports Complex. The participating referees were distributed into 3 groups for a period of 3 days, during which workshops were held in which several lectures were given on the analysis of the amended laws in refereeing, in addition to a video explanation of the most important refereeing cases during the season matches.

The program of refining and preparing the referees, which lasted for several months, included many preparations, as it included several workshops and technical lectures in which all details in the field of refereeing were discussed. The Oman Football Association Referees Committee succeeded in equipping referees after an emergency stop that lasted for several months since last March, before the end of the current season, due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.
