Muscat,(ONA) - Today, 20 teams were able to qualify for the finals of the third edition of the Clubs Championships for general, and the second edition for age groups, in the preliminary qualifiers organized by the Omani Chess Committee during the period from 8 to 11 October, with the participation of 44 teams from 33 clubs. The general category finalists will take place on Monday and Tuesday, 12 and 13 October, and the age group finals on Wednesday and Thursday, 14 and 15 of the same month.

The competitions resulted in the qualification of 10 teams in the general competitions, namely Salalah Club A and Al-Suwaiq from Group A, and Salalah B and Saham from Group Two, Al-Bashayer Azraq and Al-Nasr Club from Group C, Mirbat and Salalah from Group D, and Ibri A and Oman Club from Group E.

In the preliminary rounds for the age groups, which witnessed the participation of 16 teams representing 14 clubs, 10 teams qualified. Ibri, Salalah B and Al Bashayer Azraq from the first group, qualified, and Al Bashayer Abiad, Madha, Al Rustaq, and Al Salam from the second group, while Salalah A was able to lead the third group, along with Al Khaboura and Ahli Sidab.
