Rustaq,(ONA) - Taha bin Sulaiman Al-Kushari, President of the Oman Swimming Association, confirmed that the next stage for participating in the various tournaments will be according to criteria so that no swimmer can participate unless he passes those criteria.

Al-Koshari said during his meeting with the players of the first swimming team in their camp in the youth complex in Rustaq, “There will be a continuous evaluation of the level of every swimmer in different age groups, whether in individual or relay races, indicating the importance of discipline and perseverance by all swimmers to develop themselves so that they have the opportunity to participate in any championship.”

He added, “The participations will depend on the numbers and results in the camps, and the Association Board of Directors is keen to provide everything that would promote swimmers and take their hands in order to achieve the highest positions to raise the Sultanate’s flag in various forums.”

Al-Koshari indicated that the technical staff led by Serbian coach Serjan Filippovic and his assistant Ayman Al-Kalibi and supervised by technical expert Mohamed Al-Sahili are doing their best to develop the technical level of the swimmers.
