Muscat,(ONA) - The Oman Volleyball Association (OVA) has set the fourth of November as the date for the General Assembly meeting.

The OVA has invited the member clubs of the General Assembly to attend the meeting. The agenda will include several issues, including the approval of the minutes of the last meeting, discussion of the Board of Directors report on the status of the association, approval of the budget and the final account for the year ending 2019, and discussion of the draft budget for the fiscal year 2020.

The meeting will also witness the selection of the auditor and discussion of the Al-Orouba Club’s request to join the Association’s General Assembly, in addition to discussing the clubs ’proposals. Then the current board of directors will announce their resignation, after which the members of the board will be elected for the next session 2020/2024.

The OVA opened the door for candidacy for the Board of Directors until two o'clock on Tuesday, the 15th of this month. Candidates must hand over their candidacy files to the specialists at the OVA headquarters or by registered mail of the Oman Volleyball Association in the name of the head of the Election Supervision Committee for candidates from clubs located in the governorates to which they are forbidden to move in and out due to the Covid 19 pandemic.

The OVA called upon the clubs whose membership expired to initiate renewal of membership. He also announced the opening of the door for admission and registration for those wishing to run for the OVA Board of Directors for the period 2020-2024.
