Muscat, - The Sultanate, represented by the Ministry of Sports Affairs, participated in the work of the 36th meeting of the Undersecretaries of the Ministries of Youth and Sports in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries through video conferencing, and the Sultanate was represented in the meeting by Rashad bin Ahmed Al Hinai, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Sports Affairs.

The meeting witnessed the discussion of many topics that would contribute to enriching the youth and sports sectors in the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, and it was agreed on the recommendations that will be submitted to the meeting of their Highnesses, Excellencies, Ministers of Youth and Sports in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries scheduled to be held next week.

The meeting reviewed in its agenda the Riyadh declaration of the fortieth session of the Supreme Council in the GCC countries, the themes of the strategic plan of the ministers of youth and sports, the special financial plan for the implementation of joint activities and programs, and its estimated budget.

The efforts of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries to confront the Covid-19 pandemic in the youth and sports fields were also reviewed, and the implementation of the recommendations of the technical committees of the Committee of Youth and Sports Ministers was followed up.
