Manama,(ONA)The Oman Badminton Committee has obtained the membership of the Arab Badminton Federation and it has been approved as one of the members of the General Assembly of the Federation during the meeting that was held via video communication with the participation of 14 Arab countries.

The Oman Badminton Committee has recently participated in the General Assembly of the International Badminton Federation, after obtaining the membership.

The joining of the Oman Badminton Committee to the General Assembly meeting of the Arab and International Federations of the game will contribute to the launch of the committee’s work and plans further. It will also contribute to defining the game in the Sultanate by playing with other countries and activating many programs that will contribute to expanding the base of participants. It will also contribute to participating in the Arab, Asian and international championships in the future.

The Oman Badminton Committee was represented at the meeting by Dr Badriya bint Khalfan Al Haddabiya, Chair of the Committee.
