Muscat,(ONA) - Rawan Al Balushi has achieved the title of the Oman Electronic Individual Chess Championship for the under-16 category, organized by the Oman Chess Committee, which ended its competition tonight with the participation of 15 players.

The female national chess team player was able to snatch first place with 6 points from 7 rounds that were decisive, while Manar Al Thihliya won second place, and with the same points, Maryam Al Baloushi came third, while Ghaida Al Saeedia came fourth with 5 points as well, with a tie breaking difference.

The tournament in its four categories was an enriching experience for players and organizers, which is what the Oman Chess Committee seeks to achieve in light of the exceptional circumstances that the Sultanate and the world are going through due to the coronavirus pandemic. The tournament started on the ninth of this month and continued until this evening.
