Muscat, (ONA) - The council of Oman Basketball Association held a meeting today, chaired by Dr. Farid bin Khamis Al Zadjali, President of the Oman Basketball Association, in the presence of the Vice President and Secretary.

During the meeting, a number of topics were discussed, the most important of which was fixing the date of the ordinary and extraordinary general assembly meeting through video conferencing, reviewing the agenda and adopting the minutes of the previous meeting.

The dates of the ordinary and extraordinary general assembly meetings were also discussed, as well as the requirements of the International Federation for the return of basketball activities and the procedures to be taken in the event of a decision by the Supreme Committee in charge of discussing the mechanism to follow up on the developments of the corona virus to resume sports activities in the Sultanate.

After discussions and interventions, the council approved on August 19 the date for the meeting of the Ordinary and Extraordinary General Assembly, provided that the General Assembly for the election of the members of the council for the next session will be held on November 17.

The council has also decided to form a committee to set a protocol for the return of activity in the event of obtaining the green light from the competent authorities for the return of sports activities.
