Muscat, July 15 (ONA) - The Oman Handball Association will hold next August 16th ordinary general assembly meetings for 2019 and extraordinary general assembly for 2020 in the meeting hall of the Projects Department of the Ministry of Sports Affairs.

This meeting comes in compliance with the directives of the Supreme Committee in charge of discussing the mechanism of dealing with developments resulting from the spread of the corona virus (Covid 19) and based on the principle of the importance of coexistence and adapting to the current conditions and the need to adhere to precautionary measures. The association has called on all affiliated clubs to renew the membership in order to be entitled to participate in the two meetings.

The General Assembly meeting will be chaired by Dr. Saeed bin Ahmed Al-Shahri, Chairman of the Council of the Oman Handball Association, in the presence of the members of the Council.

The meeting also reviews the proposals submitted by clubs, if any, and after that the extraordinary general assembly meeting for 2020 will be held with the aim of discussing new regulations for the elections.

The date of the next elections to choose a new council for the association for the next four years has been approved to be on November 15.
