Muscat,(ONA) - The Oman Badminton Committee (OBC) has attained the membership of the Game’s World Federation and is officially registered as a member of the General Assembly of the Badminton Global Federation.

Dr. Badriya bint Khalfan Al Hadabiyah, President of the Oman Badminton Committee, said, “We are happy to have joined the family of the World Federation of the game. We have sought this objective from the beginning and we have worked to achieve it, and today we represent one of the pillars of the Badminton World Federation, which will further contribute to launching the committee's work and plans.”

Al-Hadabiyah confirmed that the membership of the World Federation will contribute greatly to the introduction of the game in the Sultanate by exchanging views with other sports federations and committees in other countries. “Through this membership, we will work to activate many programs that will contribute to and help spread awareness of the game in the Sultanate and expand the base of participants to participate in Arab, Asian and international tournaments in the future,” she said.
