BERLIN, May 12 (ONA) FIFA confirmed today that it will hold the 70th FIFA Congress on September 18th as an online event due to the coronavirus epidemic.

The FIFA Congress is originally due to take place this month in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The world Football body stated that the decision was made on recommendations from the FIFA Confederations COVID-19 working Group, which took into account the general situation and travel restrictions.
