Muscat, (ONA) - Oman Sail and the Omani Paralympic Committee has launched the "Sail Freely" program and its website with the support of BP Oman, under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Rashad bin Ahmed Al Hinai, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth for Youth.

Mansour bin Sultan Al-Toqi, Chairman of the Omani Paralympic Committee, said that the launch of the program comes in conjunction with the celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which is dedicated to promoting their civil rights and integrating them into society, in addition to raising awareness of their conditions, in all aspects of social, economic, scientific, cultural and sports life.

He added that a new building block has been added to the government's renewed renaissance in the field of caring for people with disabilities, namely the launch of the official website of the Omani Paralympic Committee and the launch of the "Sail Freely" program, which is the first of its kind in the Middle East region. He explained that the launch of the website is part of the committee’s strategy to enhance its media capabilities and organize community communication with partners, shareholders and those interested, so that the site will be the official destination for information and details of events, activities, programs and services, and contribute to introducing the types of Paralympic sports and highlighting the achievements of loyal Omani champions with disabilities, in addition to publishing news and annual reports, and everything related to the committee.

He pointed out that the site contains an easy-to-use interface, an elegant design, and its content can be shared with social media that have been developed to unify the identity of the marketing and media committee. After that, His Excellency Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth for Sports and Youth, the patron of the ceremony, inaugurated the official website of the Omani Paralympic Committee, and the "Sail Freely" program. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Dr. Abdullah bin Khamis Ambosaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Education, and Eng. Yousef bin Muhammad Al-Ajaili, Chairman of BP Oman.
