Muscat,(ONA) - The national junior football team will head for the Kingdom of Bahrain next Sunday to set up an external camp until the 13th of this month.
The national junior team will play two friendly matches with the Bahraini junior team on December 8 and 11, as part of preparations for the U-16 AFC Asian Cup finals, which Bahrain will host in March 2021. The national team will play in Group Two along with Yemen, the United Arab Emirates and Tajikistan, the runner-up in the latest edition.
The coach of the national junior football team, Hilal Al-Oufi, explained through the Oman Football Association website that this camp is the first after a hiatus that lasted more than eight months, noting that the two friendly matches against the Bahrain national team are the beginning of the friendlies since the team returned to its camps.
He explained that the aim of this camp is to stand on the technical, physical and tactical readiness of the players and to find complete harmony between the group and stability on the optimal formation by giving the opportunity to all players.
