Muscat, November 24 (ONA) - The technical staff of the Olympic National Football Team announced a list of the names of the players chosen by the technical staff of the upcoming internal camp, which will be held from November 28 to December 7, as part of the continuous preparations to participate in the West Asian Championship.

The West Asia Championship was scheduled to start last September during the FIFA Days, a new tournament held for the first time with the new system, with the aim of taking advantage of the FIFA days in September, October and November 2020, and March and June next year. However, the spread of the Corona virus has prevented it from being held until this moment, and the Olympic team is also waiting for another participation, the Gulf Championship, which is scheduled to be held in September 2021.

The new list of players led by the Croatian coach, Dario Basic and his assistant, Muhammad Khamis Al-Mukhaini, included 23 players, namely: Yusef Al-Maliki, Issam Al-Makhzoumi and Abdullah Al-Shabibi (Al-Seeb), Awad Al-Shahri, Muhammad Al-Sim and Muhammad Mostahil (Dhofar), Ibrahim Al-Rajhi, Omar Al-Salti and Mahmoud Al-Alawi (Al-Orouba), Muhammad Al-Alawi, Basil Al-Jabri and Qasim Al Mubarak (Oman Club), Sultan bin Saeed Bashir and Youssef Al-Shiyadi (Al-Nasr), Muhammad Al-Shukaili (Ibri), Muhammad Al-Breiki (Saham), Muhammad Al-Ghafri and Musab Al-Mamari (Al-Rustaq), Moayad Al-Balushi (Al-Suwaiq), Abdulaziz Al-Zaabi (Al-Salam), Muhammad Al-Hinai and Fahd Al-Hajri (Al-Nahda), Issa Al-Naabi and Jaweed Al-Balushi (Muscat).

The Olympic team had played 4 friendly matches during its last camp, which was held from 2 to 17 November. It lost from the first national team twice 0/3 and 1/4, tied against Al Khaboura 1/1 and lost from Bousher 2/0.
