Muscat, (ONA) - The first national football team will continue its internal camp until November 17 at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bousher, which was joined in recent days by the players of the Dhofar and Al-Nahda teams after the second leg of the semi-final matches of His Majesty the Sultan's Cup.
The technical staff, led by the Croatian coach Branko Ivankovic, has focused during the last days of training on a number of important technical aspects, including raising the level of physical fitness, compatibility and harmony between the players, in addition to identifying the technical and skill levels of each player and the positions in which they play, especially since the list, which is currently in the camp, contains a mixture of experienced and youth players, hoping that the new faces that have been selected will appear at a good level.
The national team will play the first friendly match with the Olympic national team next Friday, and the third and last test will be at the end of the preparatory gathering on the 16th of this month.
This camp falls within the scope of the national team's preparations to complete its participation in the double Asian qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup and the 2023 Asian Nations Finals, in which our national team is still second in Group E with 12 points behind the Qatari team, leading with 13 points.
