The Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation recently signed an agreement with the Japanese Mitsubishi Corporation to extend the Mitsubishi Corporation Scholarship Program.

    Under the agreement, Mitsubishi Corporation will finance twenty external scholarships for Omani postgraduate students over a period of five years (2021-2025), with four scholarships annually.

    It is noteworthy that the Mitsubishi Corporation program began more than ten years ago, and provided the opportunity for 31 Omani students to complete their studies in various prestigious Japanese universities. The distinguished academic performance of the Omani students contributed to making a good impression of the Sultanate’s students in Japanese universities.

    Mitsubishi Corporation's relations with the Sultanate in various energy fields go back to the eighties of the last century. In appreciation of the good relations between the Sultanate and Japan, the company, as part of its social responsibility, launched the program to give Omani students the opportunity to obtain master and doctoral degrees from the most prominent Japanese universities.ONA
