Oman Research and Education Network (OMREN) of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation took part in a virtual exhibition about future technology themed ‘Future Tech Event’.
The first edition of the event attracted wide and local participation, with a recorded virtual attendance of more than a thousand visitors from more than 25 countries.
Dr. Abdulmonem al-Kharousi, OMREN Director, gave a presentation during the virtual summit about the digital transformation in higher education in the Sultanate. The OMREN team included innovative proposals and solutions to link the research and scientific sectors and the private sector with a unified platform to facilitate access to knowledge and distance-learning. The OMREN team also presented during the two-day summit all the services provided to the beneficiaries and the progress they reached with the network.
The exhibition is considered as one of the most important virtual events in the Sultanate of Oman, which aims to exchange technology, communication and information experiences in various fields, such as education and smart cities in the Sultanate and all over the world.
OMREN seeks to participate in such events to spread awareness, discuss what can be developed locally, address the successes and challenges of the market and search for the best ways to develop in these national fields.ONA
