Al Buraimi, October 8 (ONA) - His Excellency Dr. Hamad bin Ahmed Al Busaidi, Governor of Al Buraimi, met with members of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry branch in Al Buraimi Governorate, in the presence of Zahir bin Muhammad Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Board, during his visit to the branch’s headquarters.

The meeting dealt with discussing the investment and economic aspects in the governorate and examining the areas of work of the Chamber and its services provided to associates of private sector institutions and companies. In addition, it discussed aspects of developing economic work in the various sectors and available fields, and ways to stimulate the investment situation and enable business owners to enhance their investment and commercial capabilities.

The Governor of Al Buraimi confirmed that the government is working with double efforts to meet all development needs in accordance with the vision of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq and in line with the organizational plans to achieve Oman Vision 2040 and its specific goals, adding that the current stage requires accelerated work and great cooperation from all governmental and private agencies to address economic challenges resulting from the effects of the pandemic and fluctuations in oil prices, which affected all countries of the world.

His Excellency indicated the importance of identifying and studying the priorities that should be started in terms of enhancing the investment and economic status of Al Buraimi Governorate.

For his part, the Chairman of the Chamber’s branch in Al Buraimi Governorate said that the Chamber, as the representative of the private sector, always seeks to develop economic mobility by providing all direct and indirect services to support the implementation and continuity of projects in various sectors as well as strengthening communication and cooperation channels between the merchant and the official to achieve the desired growth.

The meeting included delivering a visual presentation on the establishment of the Chamber and the establishment of the Chamber’s branch in the governorate, in addition to another visual presentation on the most prominent challenges facing the private sector in the governorate and the proposed solutions to them.

His Excellency the Governor of Al Buraimi also visited the permanent exhibition at the branch’s headquarters, which includes various exhibits and products for a number of institutions and companies operating in the governorate.
