Liwa On September 24 (ONA) -The Municipal Affairs Committee in the Wilayat of Liwa in the North Al Batinah Governorate held its fifth meeting for this year under the chairmanship of His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Abri, Wali of Liwa, Chairman of the Municipal Affairs Committee in the Wilayat.

During the meeting, a number of topics in the wilayat were discussed, including reviewing the recommendations of the municipal council contained in the minutes of the fourth committee meeting for the year 2020, activating the Liwa Centre for Science and Innovation, setting controls for organizing the housing of the expatriate workforce in residential neighbourhoods, in addition to discussing the work of quarries in the mountainous areas of the wilayat and the environmental damage resulting from them and re-preparing the road.

They also discussed a project to establish a fish market and define a new location for it, in addition to a number of service issues. At the end of the meeting, the committee made appropriate decisions and recommendations.
