The Sultanate  continued to operate relief aid flights to the sisterly Republic of Sudan in view of large-scale floods caused recently by heavy rains there.

                      Military aircrafts from the Royal Air Force of Oman freighted a variety of basic human requirements and relief items from Oman to Sudan in coordination with Oman Charitable Organisation.

                      The mission was in response to the Royal directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander, and within the context of humanitarian assistance and efforts made by the Sultanate in support of sisterly and friendly countries facing emergency or exceptional conditions.
