The committee tasked with studying the economic impacts of coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic  held a meeting under the chairmanship of Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal al-Busaidi, Minister of Interior.

      The committee reviewed preventive procedures and precautions undertaken over the past period to support the sustainability of private sector businesses and enhance their ability to adapt to the current exceptional conditions resulting from the pandemic.

         The steps included commercial, industrial and incentive packages offered by the Government, in addition to the Programme of Emergency Loans meant to help the most hard-hit entrepreneurs.

        The committee also studied a number of other topics related to its tasks and decided to submit recommendations in their regard to the Supreme Committee for appropriate action.ONA
