Heads of the GCC Legislative Councils today held their 13th meeting via video-conferencing during which they expressed their sincere wishes to His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik to continue march of the comprehensive development in the Sultanate.

     They also recalled and hailed the contributions of the late Sultan Qaboos Bin Said Bin Taimour as one of the founders and supporters of the GCC march. Moreover, they hailed his role in achieving prosperity for his homeland and nation, as well as his efforts in cementing pillars of international peace and security. 

   Majlis A’shura was represented in the meeting by Khalid bin Hilal al-Ma’awali, Chairman of the Majlis. 

   The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council in the United Arab Emirates, with participation of Dr. Nayef al-Hajraf, GCC Secretary General.

     The participants wished the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia a speedy recovery, good health and well-being. They also expressed their sincere wishes of a speedy recovery, good health and happiness to Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jabir al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait.

    In their meeting, Heads of the GCC Legislative Councils viewed the agenda and approved its items. 
They also approved a number of decisions pertaining to topics listed on agenda of the meeting.ONA
