The Undersecretaries of the GCC Ministries of Health held yesterday the eighth meeting via video-conferencing to discuss the latest developments of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Dr. Mohammed bin Saif al-Hosni, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Health Affairs represented the Sultanate in the meeting, in the presence of Dr. Saif bin Salim al-Abri, Director General of Diseases Surveillance and Control, Dr. Said bin Harib al-Lamki, Director General of Primary Healthcare, member of the Executive Board of GCC Health Council and Dr. Khadim bin Jafar bin Suliman, Director General of Specialized Medical Care.

 The meeting reviewed minute of the previous meeting and activating resolutions of the GCC Health Ministers' meeting.

The undersecretaries urge the GCC citizens and residents to apply infection control standards, avoid attending gatherings as possible and adhere to the preventive safety measures. They also stressed the importance of taking information from the reliable
sources and not to pay attention to rumors and unofficial social media channels.
