The Environmental Services Holding Company be’ah Launched in Dhofar an awareness campaign in cooperation with Dhofar Municipality. The campaign came in conjunction with Dhofar Khareef Season 2022 as part of the continuous effort exerted by be’ah to enhance environmental awareness and maintain a clean environment.
The campaign targets children, families and visitors. It focuses on raising a level of awareness among people in disposal waste methods by clarifying proper ways of disposing waste without harming environment. Several activities and events such as mobile awareness, interactive tents and future station, all of which are distributed in different tourist attraction sites in Dhofar, in addition to workshops to ensure the negative impact of waste on the environment.
The mobile unit station targets children between 6 to 12 years by organizing interactive activities which deliver directs messages on environment sustainability and waste management. It provides educational games in which visitors get several concepts on environment conservation.
The interactive tents targets families and children between 8 to 15 years, by spreading messages through interactive workshop and activities. The main objective of the interactive tents is to consolidate the concepts of sustainability and waste management between children their families.
The campaign also diversifies activities in cooperation with Omani project owners that focus on the use of natural resources in their products. It provides cups to cafes that can be reused instead of plastic cups.
The campaign activities organized in Etten area and designed to deepen several concepts on environment conservation through entertaining games and workshops showing the importance of keeping our environment clean.
As many visitors come to Dhofar this season, the company distributed 1080 bins in different tourist destinations to reduce random littering practices.
The company aims to strengthen partnership with the community to reduce improper waste disposal and also to encourage people to throw waste suitably in the designated places.
