Muscat: The total number of people who went for institutional quarantine since the beginning of this year is reached 38,389, the Relief and Shelter Sector said on
Currently, 11,86 people are in institutional quarantine, as of April 25, in 609 shelter centers across the Sultanate.
Hammoud bin Muhammad al-Mandhari, the Relief and Shelter Sector Coordinator, said that all flights coming to the Sultanate through Muscat International Airport are pre-scheduled.
He stated that the airport usually receives approximately 80 flights (both arrivals and departures) with around 2,500 to 3,000 passengers. All arrivals to the Sultanate who enter the Sultanate are subject to the decisions of the Supreme Committee, including procedures for PCR tests at the airport, institutional isolation, and a test on the eighth day.
Regarding what was circulated on social media on April 24, about the arrival of 13 flights coming to Muscat International Airport, the Coordinator said that the number of passengers who entered the Sultanate on that day was 4,926 passengers and they were dealt with the same procedures.
He pointed out to some violations at institutional isolations include failure to comply with isolation and exit from centers or removing the bracelets. Oman Observer
