The Sultanate of Oman is the most brilliant light house in the Middle East. It combines both progressive government and an ever-growing social and economic prosperity. The Sultanate took giant steps to diversify its economic activities, which earlier revolved around crude oil alone. Oman met with considerable success, thanks to the execution of a set of infrastructure and investment projects carried out at the Special Economic Zone in Duqm and other areas.

Duqm harbour facility has been designed to house the Middle East’s biggest dry dock, with a 4-km quay in which more than 10,000 local workers operate. The Sultanate has another set of mega projects in the pipeline, including Madinat Al-Irfan, a modern well-planned sustainable residential and commercial compound that has a capacity to provide 275,000 jobs and attract a large number of daily visitors. A key feature of this project is an artificial valley that combines wonders of modern lifestyles.
