Duqm city, in the Wusta (central) Governorate, can be the best city in the Arab world in future. Oman pins a lot of hopes on Duqm when drafting its economic diversification plans. Duqm stands out as a strategic and serene hub lying about 330 miles south of the Sultanate’s capital city Muscat.

Duqm markets itself as a suitable storage location along the main routes linking fast growing economies in India, East Africa and beyond. Planners predict that Duqm can be an alternative point of access and exit in the region.
