H.E. Dr Abdullah bin Nasser Al Harrasi, Minister of Information, met on Wednesday, 18 June 2025, at the Officers’ Institute of the Sultan Qaboos Academy for Police Sciences with a number of senior officers of the Royal Oman Police, in the presence of H.E. Lt Gen Hassan bin Mohsin Al Shuraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs.

During the meeting, His Excellency outlined the foundations, directions, and future prospects of Omani media, stressing its role in supporting police media efforts, effectively conveying security-related messages, and professionally addressing security issues and incidents.

The meeting also reviewed the roles of governorate media, external media, the Government Communication Centre, and the General Directorate of Information and Artistic Publications.

His Excellency affirmed that Omani media is rooted in national values and constants, reflects the Sultanate’s vision for comprehensive national development, and contributes to strengthening national identity and social cohesion.

He further highlighted Oman Vision 2040 as a key framework guiding media institutions toward adopting modern technologies and enhancing digital media content, commending the level of coordination and cooperation between the Royal Oman Police and local media outlets.
