The magnificent Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM) stands as a bridge between cultures, both within Oman and between Oman and the outside world. It represents the vision with which His late Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said set out to recognise and celebrate authentic Omani values and the Arab-Islamic identity of Oman. From this solid ground a generation can rise, confident enough to be open to the cultures of the world and aware of their great diversity and beauty.

Publication of the ROHM’s seasonal programme of performances and events is a much-anticipated occasion, and each season seeks to make a mark in the form of new departures and qualitative shifts. The House’s activities are no longer limited to performances, but now favour greater public engagement, achieved by way of creative initiatives and innovative programming that fuel cultural vitality, draw out talent, and promote cultural tourism and healthy global exchange.

On 22 September 2022, the ROHM published its 2022–2023 schedule, which included a calendar of 43 artistic productions, from symphony concerts to international opera performances to musical and lyrical plays. A performance of military music from Oman and around the world featured for the first time, alongside a festival of popular music and evenings of Sufi devotional chanting.
