Ras Al Had Airport is located near to the city of Sur in South- Sharqiyah Governorate. The airport grants an opportunity for tourists to avoid the long driving distance from Muscat. The project is part of the Sultanate's tourism and environmental projects. The airport is complementing efforts to develop the region, establish a number of tourist and environmental resorts along the eastern coast of the Sultanate and contributes to attracting and enriching tourism in this natural environment.
The building of passenger capacity is 5,600 m2; each airport has a capacity of half a million passengers per year. Each airport consists of 4 bridges and 7 counters to clear all procedures, the length of the runway at each airport, with width (75) meters, and a control tower height shall be (37) meters and the first package in each airport contains the system of roads for the airport in addition to the work of service facilities, as for the second package contains the work of the stairs and corridors.
