The media proficiency competition comes within the framework of the Ministry of Media’s constant keenness to sponsor its sons working in all the media means in order to motivate them on hard work and perfection in their work to achieve more exertion, giving and dedicated work. In this year, the media proficiency competition returns with a new dress and a new suit which will have the major effect in the continuity of this competition which was launched in 2004 AD in its first round.

The main committee of the competition decided to dedicate the sixth round of this year for the press competition in the following fields (news – article- press investigation – press talk – press photography). The next rounds will be dedicated to the various media fields from radio, television and new media… The competition will also be in one center so that the participator gets a financial reward, the competition's shield and a certificate of appreciation… As for media students studying in the institutions of higher education specialized in press and media, there is a special reward for them with a certificate of appreciation and they were excluded from some of the competition conditions including publication so that the academic institutions determine the works intended to be participated with in the competition.

To encourage the personnel in all the various fields of media work to master the works provided by them and recognizing their efforts in these fields.
